Tiara 4300 Open: The 4300 Open comes ready for both fishing and cruising. An incomparable deepwater performer, it presents a secure platform to aggressively manage sea and weather conditions, with a fuel-efficient hull design and power package that provide optimum performance, handling and maneuverability. Twin Hull Boats

Join us April 12 & 13, 2014, 9 am – 4 pm at the Greenwich Boat Show!

Twin Hull Boats in Bridgeport is just what the name says: They exclusively sell power catamarans.

The folks at Twin Hull are the only authorized sales and service dealer in Connecticut for World Cat, Glacier Bay, Carolina Cat and Livingston power catamarans. They are convinced that dual-hull boats provide a better ride than monohulls, with better fuel economy, stability, comfort and fun in any kind of weather. And they think that if you try one, you’ll be convinced, too.

Some examples of the boats they offer include:

World Cat 295 DC: An upgraded version of World Cat’s most successful model, seating improvements abound on this vessel, improving comfort and increasing capacity to 10 people. The twin captains’ chairs have been changed to twin bench seats with flip-up bolsters. The forward bow seating allows better lounging, and with optional flush mounted seats in the transom and gunnel you can enjoy lounging in the cockpit when you’re not fishing. The euro-style walk-through transom brings you closer to the fish and allows easy access from the water.

Carolina Cat 23 DC: Carolina Cat’s 23 DC is a mid-sized dual console with a full-sized head enclosure. And it gives you big boat performance in a mid-sized package. Best of all, the 23 DC takes full advantage of the cat shape, giving you seating for 10 in its wide beam. There’s plenty of room for a cruising crowd and lots of open cockpit space for fishing fanatics. Perhaps best of all, unlike most mid-sized dual console monohulls, the Carolina Cat 23 DC has a full-sized head.

Glacier Bay 2740 DC: A wonderful combination of features and ride makes the 2740 dual console the most versatile boat on the water. Whether you are piling the kids in the bow for a trip to the beach or ranging far offshore for billfish, you can do it in this vessel. The 2740 features 27 feet of open boat space with a full stand-up head in the port hull. There is seating for six under the standard hardtop, four more in the box area and two aft with the optional flip-out seats.

The Hinckley Company

Join us April 12 & 13, 2014, 9 am – 4 pm at the Greenwich Boat Show!

With a reputation for exquisite craftsmanship, innovation, service and performance, the Hinckley Company has become synonymous with the highest levels of yachting.

While the company is based in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, Hinckley was born from Maine’s rich maritime heritage. That’s reflected in their boats, from each vessel’s beautiful lines to its sturdy build, strong enough to take on the challenges of the North Atlantic.

To see Hinckley’s innovation and craftsmanship, look no further than their popular jetboat. Hinckley originated and perfected the concept of a jetboat — a vessel powered by engines but propelled by waterjets. Jet propulsion ensures reduced drag, greater fuel efficiency at high speeds and environmental sensitivity. And remarkably shallow draft affords you easy access to beaches, sandbars, and other secluded spots.

Hinckley’s boats feature classic shapes and dramatic lines, but they’ve also merged the integration of new technologies into their craftsmanship. The result is a fleet that articulates a timeless aesthetic and the most advanced practices in yacht design and construction. For some examples of Hinckley’s boats, check out the following:

Hinckley Picnic Boat MKIII: This vessel’s strength comes from the most advanced hull construction techniques in practice today. And it features new technological and design elements that make it the most exciting picnic boat ever crafted by Hinckley. A raised pilothouse deck delivers superior visibility, seated or standing, giving captains a more commanding view, and a sense of connection to the environment. Relaxing and entertaining are taken to a new level with a spacious, open-deck design and step-up pilothouse deck ideal for lounging with loved ones or serving a small party of friends. And with power hatches and side windows with push-button control, it’s easy to keep everyone onboard comfortable.

Hinckley Daysailor 42: Hinckley’s DS42 has an Old World elegance that is immediately apparent in her 13 feet of overhangs and carbon fiber spars meticulously painted to a wood-like finish. The cockpit, while maintaining a traditional feel, accommodates six to eight passengers and provides a comfortable helm seat for single-handed sailing. This vessel is perfectly designed for days on the harbor and nights with guests, anchored in a tranquil bay.

Catalano and Sons

Join us April 12 & 13, 2014, 9 am – 4 pm at the Greenwich Boat Show!

Nobody cares for you like family. And the Catalano family at Catalano and Sons in Greenwich has been making boaters feel like family for more than 50 years.

Serving boaters on the waters of Long Island Sound, Catalano and Sons is one of the region’s premier dealers. They offer customers award-winning customer service and feature an impressive inventory of boats from Grady White and Hurricane Deck boats.

At the Greenwich Boat Show, Catalano and Sons will be introducing Grady White’s new 251 Coastal Explorer. The 251 CE is the first of its kind from Grady White, and it represents a whole new category of inshore/offshore boat. Designed for practicality, utility, ease of use and family fun, the 251 CE will keep boaters and passengers comfortable while navigating back waters, beaches, waterways, sounds and inlets. It’s Grady White’s answer for off-the-beaten-track coastal fun and versatility in skinnier water. But this is not a “bay boat.” It offers much more offshore capability and versatility than any boat in its genre.

The 251 CE features low gunwales that provide very easy access to the water, and a bow ladder for beaching. Transformable seats forward and aft go from bench style to lounge, making the boat perfect for playing, relaxing or socializing. As with every Grady White, add rods and tackle and you have a fishing boat that is without peer.

Catalano and Sons will also feature a variety of Grady White’s popular Freedom Series at the show, including the Freedom 335. With a modern design and packed with amenities, the Freedom 335 is a beautiful blend of form and function. This large dual cabin boat can handle every need a boater may have for it, from serving as a fishing boat to towing wakeboarders to family cruising. With plenty of seating, the Freedom 335 is set up for entertaining. It has three large coolers, plenty of storage, and it comes with a standard hardtop that lets you squeeze more out of the boating season.

Also at the show, Catalano and Sons will have their Hurricane deck boats on display, including the Hurricane SunDeck 2200DC. Hurricane deck boats are simply the most fun you can have on the water. No other boat is designed to be as versatile. No other boat has more layout options. And no other boat is built to maximize your fun with family and friends the way Hurricane deck boats are. The wide open layouts in the SunDeck line make the best boating activities easy: cruising, watersports, fishing, rafting. Or you can just spend the afternoon relaxing. The choice is up to you.

Bassett Yachts & Boat Sale

Join us April 12 & 13, 2014, 9 am – 4 pm at the Greenwich Boat Show!

If you were to take the friendliness and personal touch of a neighborhood mom-and-pop store from decades ago and combine it with the scale and benefits of a large, successful modern company, you’d have something that looks a lot like Bassett Yachts & Boat Sales.

Bassett has been a family-owned business for more than 70 years. They place an emphasis on creating a personal connection that extends beyond their award-winning customer service to the fun-filled rendezvous they host for customers.

But along with that friendly, small-business atmosphere comes the selection and benefits of a large, successful dealership. Bassett has built itself into one of the biggest dealers of new and pre-owned boats around. They have become the third-largest dealer of Monterey boats in the entire country, and they have two locations — in Old Saybrook, Connecticut and Springfield, Massachusetts — to serve customers. A few examples of Bassett’s vast inventory of boats include the following:

Monterey 234 Super Sport: This boat is a dream for sun worshippers, with one of the largest sun pads in the industry for a boat this size. The sun pad features a flip-up backrest for aft-facing transom seating. The 234’s trunk storage has plenty of room for all your accessories and gear. And you have a choice of a portside bucket seat or a multi-position flip-up backrest that turns the port side seating into a huge chaise lounge arrangement.

Monterey 280 SY Sports Cruiser: Distinctive lines and superior performance define the 280SCR. With a 29' length and a wide 9'2 beam, the 280SCR is roomy, comfortable and stable. The stylish helm features a dual helm seat with flip up thigh rise bolster with ample storage underneath. The large wet bar is perfect for preparing snacks and drinks. The integrated swim platform is both stylish and functional, allowing easy access in and out of the water via a telescopic stainless steel boarding ladder.

Connecticut’s Greenwich Boat Show is a Favorite Among Boaters

If you were to design the perfect boat show, you’d probably start by having a huge selection of great, new boats. Next, you’d have all those boats in the water ready to be tested because, if you’re going to buy a boat, you want to know how it rides, not just that it looks pretty. Finally, you wouldn’t want to pay a single cent to attend the show, so you’d make it completely free.
What you’d be creating is Connecticut’s best in-water boat show, the Greenwich Boat Show.
Early each spring, the Greenwich Boat Show is held on the Mianus River in Cos Cob, where boaters can easily test new boats on the open waters of Long Island Sound. The show has earned a reputation as being unique among the region’s boat shows because its location and offer of free sea-trials lets boaters try an incredible variety of new boat models. It’s an event where consumers are treated with respect. Dealers are invited back based on the show’s gentlemen’s agreement: There are no hard sales, no gimmicks, no vendors pushing products. Just a lot of interesting dialogue and a lot of boat rides.
The show features a remarkable selection of boats. Those in the market for luxury, high-end vessels have brands such as Chris Craft, Tiara, Hinckley and Hunt Yachts to consider. Meanwhile, the serious fisherman has a wide variety of fishing boats to choose from, including Edgewater, Scout, Grady White, Pursuit and Tide Water. Family cruising boats are well-represented with favorites like Sea Ray, Monterey, Carolina Cat and three new pontoon brands. With such a large selection and the offer of free sea-trials, it’s no wonder local residents and boaters from throughout the Northeast consistently praise the Greenwich Boat Show as being among their favorite shows.
This year’s show will be held on April 12 & 13th, and promises an even wider array of dealers, boat lines and a large selection of family and luxury vessels. More than 30 of the finest brands for fishing, luxury, power, sport and cruiser boats will be showcased. Show organizers recommend attendees visit the show’s website in advance to schedule sea-trials. They can do so by visiting www.greenwichboatshow.com.
