Many Styles of Boats Ready to be Tested at the Greenwich Boat Show
Why should you buy a boat? The reasons are as varied as the experiences you can have boating, from fun-filled days on the water with your family to the thrill of reeling in a trophy fish to the joy of socializing with friends on a stylish, luxurious yacht.
No matter what size and style of boat you’re considering, you’ll have plenty to choose from at the 2016 Greenwich Boat Show. This year’s show will be held April 2 and 3, from 10 am to 4 pm each day, at the Greenwich Water Club in Cos Cob, Connecticut. The Greenwich Boat Show is the only in-water boat show that offers free sea trials, and its location along the Mianus River gives boaters easy access to test out multiple boats on the open waters of Long Island Sound. This year’s show will have plenty of boats to try, with more than 110 boats representing 43 brands from 19 of the best dealers in the region.
Of all the thrilling experiences you can have boating, perhaps no boating experience beats the thrill of feeling a tug on the end of your fishing line and the rush of adrenaline as you reel in an underwater beast. Anglers looking to buy that perfect fishing boat will find a huge selection of the industry’s best fishing boats to explore at the Greenwich Boat Show. Available to test will be such high quality, versatile fishing boats as Robalo, Regulator, Everglades, Cape Horn, Release and Sea Pro. Other fishing favorites on hand will be Scout Boats, Sea Fox, Grady White, Pursuit, Edgewater, Boston Whaler and World Cat.
But maybe you’re not a fisherman. Maybe you’re looking for a family boat, a vessel on which everyone can enjoy an exciting cruise to a new port, swimming off your deck near a sandy island or being towed behind your boat as you’re wakeboarding or waterskiing. If your family is considering becoming a boating family, you’ll be able to explore plenty of boats at the show perfect for cruising and watersports. Featured will be stylish, comfortable vessels from Cruisers Yachts, Sea Ray, Monterey, Chaparral, Four Winns and Regal. Families looking for a dual hull can check out Carolina Cat, and those eyeing the spacious, comfortable layout of a pontoon boat can test boats from Premier Pontoons and Bennington.
Of course, you might have different tastes. Instead of fishing or family fun, you might be looking for something that exudes luxury. After all, a luxurious yacht can be more than just a boat. It can be a comfortable, stylish setting perfect for entertaining friends and family. It can be a vehicle for exploring beautiful destinations. And it can be a relaxing oasis where just stepping aboard lowers your blood pressure and brings a smile to your face.
If you’re considering getting a luxury yacht that is stylish, comfortable and features all the amenities you could want on a boat, you’ll get to explore some of the best luxury boats on the market at the show. On display will be such innovative, luxurious brands as Tiara Yachts, Chris Craft, Back Cove, Carver, Bavaria Yachts, Formula, Jeanneau and Azimut Yachts. Other high-end, luxury offerings include Galeon, Meridian, Sealine, Hunt Yachts, MJM, Southport Boats, Vanquish and Sabre.
To secure a chance to test boats at the show, attendees should schedule a sea trial in advance online by visiting the show’s website at www.greenwichboatshow.com.
Also at the show this year, boaters get a chance to win one of two great raffles offered before the show. Raffle winners receive either a Garmin eTrex handheld GPS receiver or a free overnight stay at the Cos Cob Inn on Saturday, April 2, letting the winner enjoy the boat show the entire weekend. Results of the raffle will be announced on March 29. And, for the first time, Manhattan Lamborghini will be at the show with two of the newest Lamborghini models on the market.
